Commissioned Works
For commissioned works I take in the space with its color and design. I take in how it relates to the space and the architecture.
It’s all about space. When I design a window I walk into a home and I look at the window and I look at the space around it. In my mind I design something that feeds upon the lines of the architecture, the lines of the walls, the lines of the ceiling, the lines of the door. Everything that is vertical and horizontal. Everything relates to one another, feeds off one another. It’s kind of like music- up, down, the high notes, the low notes.
