Basic Kiln Casting with Mark Abildgaard

In this class we will explore the possibilities for using clay to create objects that can be cast in glass. The class will be an intensive “hands on” experience for students who will learn how to make a mold, set up a kiln for casting, and program firing/annealing cycles. This class is open to students who have no prior glass working experience; however students with a background in glass fusing will be able to immediately use the information from the class to begin casting glass on their own.
